my favourite animal

Everybody has a favourite animal. The most beloved animals are of course rats, mice and spiders or whatever.

The Zebra

A zebra is a very fascinating animal. It has black stripes, and white stripes. I wonder if a zebra has black with white stripes, or white with black stripes. It is a questions that has been wandering through my mind for a long time now. Zebra's are so fascinating. They always cluck together and run from one place to another.

I mean woaw that is so cool. Running through the jungle with all your friends, party all night long and hunt those lions all day long.

Another cool thing about a zebra is that they are everywhere. Not only in the jungle, nut also in are every day life. Yes, you see them every day, walk over them several times a day, the zebra crossings are everywhere.

I mean, how cool is it when people use you to cross the road safely, every day again, all over the world. That is shy i am sure that zebra's will never be an endangered specie.

My favourite animal

Although Zebra's are very cool, they are not my favourite animal.

My favourite animal is... a hot dog:

My favorite book, Maus Art Spiegelman

It is very difficult to pick out a favorite book. The first books I read where the books of harry potter. They made me realize that a book can be good. I like to read books that balance between fiction and non-fiction. Bookds like the Stravaganza trilogy or the Golden Compass trilogy are very good.

My favorite type of books are graphic novels. My favorite, without a doubt, is Maus from Art Spiegelman.

This book is a true story and a very good objective story about the life of Art Spiegelmans' father before, during and after the second world war. It gives you a very personal view of how a war can change someone's perception and ideas. The book also give you a very good insight in how Art Spiegelmans's relation with his father changes, while he was writing this story.

I really like this type of graphic novels, because it is TRUE and you can learn a lot out of these things. People are still a bit sceptic when it comes to graphic novels. It is not just a comic book! Graphic novels are very accurate and contain values that are very important.

My favorite sport

I am not the most sportive type. Not because I do not want to, just because I cannot do it anymore.

My favorite sport used to be skateboarding. I started rollerblading when I was about 11 years old. A indoor skatepark had just opened in my town and after a few times I went their every week. I did this until I broke my arm while airing three meters above the ramp. I lost control and fell down. That was the end of my rollerblading. I did not do any sport for two years but than at the age of fourteen it started itching again so I bought myself a skateboard and started fooling around a bit. We became better and better and the summers where awesome. Wake up, take my skateboard and hang out somewhere on the streets, annoying people with our tricks. Off course skateboarding is a very dangerous sport, every day we came back with bruises and scratches from falling down and such.

After two or nearly three years of skateboarding, my knees started hurting. I could not take the stairs anymore, If I sat down on the floor I could not get up again, if I bent through my knees, I just fell down on the floor, if I ran it hurted, if I jumped it hurted. So I thought I would better go to see a doctor.
I went to the hospital and he said that I had the knees of a 70 year old. He asked my if I did some sports, I told him I did skateboarding and he reacted in a way like "that explains it all". the problem was that all my cartilage between the bones of my knees was gone and I had numerous cracks in my joints. I had to take pills for 70 year olds for six months. I was forbidden to take the stairs, run, duck, jump or ride my bicycle.

So that was the end of my skateboarding fun :-)

The food I DO NOT like

There are several things I like. But it is easier to explain what kind of food I DO NOT like.

I do not like cheese. Oke oke, i do like melted cheese between my hamburger or on a pizza or whatsoever. But that is where it ends. Cheese looks disgusting, only the thought of feeling the texture and chewing it in my mouth makes me feel sick. And the types of cheese that people come up with! The things they do to make it even more disgusting, COME ON! Those things smell! this Danish blue cheese for exemple. I ensure you that I can give you the same taste and smell if I do not wash my feet for 2 months.

Another sick type of cheese is Casu Marzu, better known as maggot cheese. It is to disgusting to explain so just watch this video:

Now that is BAD FOOD. I truly do not understand how you can enjoy the taste of maggots in your mouth. I'll just keep enjoying my good belgian beer, far more healthy!

A Festival is not cheap

I would love to go to festivals but what keeps me from going is the money. Oke I know that it is actually much cheaper than going to a concert of each band, but it is not only the entrance ticket that you pay for. Since I am a heavy drinker and I have been an alcohol addict for years now, I need to drink a lot of belgian beer.

So that would at least double the price of the entrance ticket. The budget for beer could get even bigger if the bands really suck, because than I have to throw my pints at them.

Second thing that makes a festival expensive is the food. Festivals are packed with little market booths selling food. You pay a shitload of money for this food and it is crappy.

THe mentality on festivals can suck as well. At some hardcore festivals people like to fight in the pit. You have different types of pits. The circle pit, mosh pit, and last but not least, the wall of death:

Since I am not yet sick of my life and prefer to enjoy the music than a bleeding nose and permanent brain damage, I do not think I will pay an exuberant amount of money to go to a festival.

The first of April, the first joke this morning was a good one. I was counting my hours of March. Turned out that I had worked 29 out of the 31 days. Isn't that a good internship?

Eventualy you will get used to it. Wake up early in the morning and go asleep in the early morning Smile. Some days are less productive than others, but overall I think I am doing a good job here. The best part so far was shooting my boss!

A few days ago we woke up early in the morning and drove to some forest. In that forest there where a lot of trees. There where some barrels, trenches, bushes, a little fort build out of pallets... and guns.

We started the day with some general safety rules. Afterwards we used CASHIN to make a good price for the pints. We took our gear and our gun and walked to the first field. Very funny very funny, I got 4 headshorts that day! I have been eating paint all day long, which was a good thing because we only got one tiny hamburger for lunch.

The biggest event that I ever attended, was the Ferrari meeting in Monaco.

This meeting always takes place a few days before the famous formula 1. All the rich people in Monaco have a ferrari. not because they think they are good or pretty, no no. Just because twenty years ago, one stupid guy in monaco showed of with his ferrari, so every rich citizin in monaco bought one.

Each year they gather to show of there ferrari.
